An artist has to paint what he or she is passionately, and I am passionate about the beauty and emotion. To me there is nothing in nature that brings these two together quite like the feminine form.
My dear friend Gabriele Rigon (in my opinion, the best photographer in the world of the feminine form), establishing the source of many images I use for my art. Along the years it has become "the soul of my colleague in the art 'and I had many long talks with him, philosophers and trying to define' sensuality 'of the fusion of beauty and emotion comes in a delicate and subtle way that could relate to all without feeling threatened or intimidated by.
There is a certain element in one of the photographs of Gabriele fires my imagination. A look distant, a painful forehead or spark in the eye that have catches my heart and in an instant I made up the story in my mind.
Gabriele tells his story his own way in his photograph I saw a very different story and I am compelled to paint this for us.
A former boss of mine coined the phrase "The technology is the slave, the man is the master" This is as true in my art!
I use what I would describe as an enigmatic 21st century version of the 'camera obscura' to the transfer of the details I have seen in a photograph on canvas. I will spend hours mixing shades of paint before painting a single brush stroke. At this point in my study is similar to that of a chemical laboratory!
My favorite is' vinyl '- like' acrylic 'in the composition with the exception of a single atom! That makes an atom worldwide unlike paint finishing. Vinyl dry with a soft natural matte finish, this quality, along with the cooling influence of the 'blue brand' that so often use, gives my painting and my soft velvety texture almost issues they deserve.
I paint from dark to light and, finally, my canvas is covered. At this point I usually celebrate with a beer or two. As I wind down, I will change little areas that are beginning to draw attention to me. This adjustment is often in day weeks!
In the past softness, subtlety, sensuality and emotion trying to portray me have been completed and another piece of my heart and soul is ready to be shown to the world...
