Mark Spain returns to a familiar theme with this 'Burning Desire I,' one of four new releases for spring 2013 & featuring classic subject matter for the artist.

A lady in the most beautiful of white dresses is in mid flow here, poised, elegant and graceful.The hand embellishment of this limited edition canvas really gives this a fresh feel, as though Mark has finished painting just moments ago.

Notice the dabs of white paint that fill the background? giving the painting an ethereal feel.

I wonder why all the best dancers come from Latin America and not only that, they are the most amazingly dressed as well - 2 disciplines coming together beautifully I feel.

A splendid addition to Spain's ever growing range of limited editions, this time on canvas.

I think this is an excellent new price point & size, for Marks hand embellished work and I would imagine these will sell out from the publishers shortly.

'Burning Desire II' is the matching 'pair' to No.1 of the same name and is part of a quartet of new releases for 2013.

I feel this is more abstract than its sister piece, with a less artistically 'definite' face on the female dancer but this allows us to project a story more easily onto the painting.

Mark Spain is perhaps the UK's best painter of Latino dancing and here, depicting what could very well be the flamenco dance, we see his talents in full swing. Her dress is absolutely stunning and Mark has captured its movement perfectly

These new limited edition canvases are hand embellished and that gives them an almost 'original painting' feel to the pieces, as they now have a finish to them.

The beauty though, is that you pay limited edition prices and not original ones!

This is an excellent price point for a hand embellished canvas and I do expect this piece to sell out quickly.
