We welcome this amazing talent that is Michael Talbot. Launching with the stunning 'Michael Talbot - Debut Collection - September 2023' three superb bronze sculptures featuring human hands, he is set to make an impact in gallery spaces up and down the United Kingdom.
Michael is supremely passionate about sculpting and it has been his life's focus since the 1970s, when he first began to learn the art.
Born in 1959 in Staffordshire UK, an area many consider the very heart of british pottery and sculpture, he completed both a degree in sculpture and later gained a prestigious place at the Royal Academy Of Arts to study post graduate level sculpture.
The artist is fascinated by the human form and he essentially sees it as its own form of artistic poetry and motion.
Michael has many accolades, titles and awards. In 1997 he became an elected member of the Royal Society Of British Sculptures, and in 2012 he became a member of the USA's National Sculpture Society,
He won the Landseer Prize in 1983 at the Royal Academy Of Arts and later went on to study under the tutelage of Colin Melbourne and Dame Elizabeth Frink at the The Sir Henry Doulton School of Sculpture.
The artist has also worked closing with The Royal Ballet, liaising with them for a 2 year period (2014-16) & working closely with their principal dancer, the result was the bestselling 'The Ballet Collection' of exquisite bronze dancers.
