As clearly demonstrated by his debut collection of July 2023, he has a fascination with Music legends and Hollywood stars & has spent many hours both reflecting and perfecting his paintings of them. By his own admission, Mr J is a Cinema junkie and has immersed himself in the comic book, music and movie worlds.
In this modern era of immediacy and 95% of celebrities having some sort of social media presence, the shadow between icon, character and real personal are often blurred. Mr J's art hopes to offer an eye-catching look behind fame and the cult of personality.
His is intrigued by artwork capturing a moment forever in time and as such his art aims to add a depth and finish that elicits a kinetic response from you, as though you could jump into the scene & inhabit the painted world!
Although only recently signed to Wishbone Art publishers in Essex, Mr J has actually been exhibiting his work and fulfilling commissions for a multitude of UK galleries for some 7 years now; he has a growing collector base hungry for more work.
His has also lent his immense talent and graffiti art skill to illustrating a children's book, including blends of acrylic and spray paint techniques - more news to follow on this.
