Both my parents are willing to artists, and therefore, as a child I always had a lot of material on hand and are encouraged to draw and paint.
In my earlier years I spent several years in an academic frustrated creatively focused school, later going on to study photography at the university. It was here that I developed an eye for geometric and natural forms, but only in black and white printing too limiting.
I have had many jobs in the creative industries, including graphic design, PR, marketing, advertising and working for a magazine, which did everything from writing articles for the preparation of ads. During this time a good friend advised me to leave my creativity and inspired me to start painting again. This resulted in numerous committees and I was approached by several companies that wanted to original paintings of their offices, clubs and wine bars. It was also at this time that I won a place in a Festival of the Arts Exhibition.
All my family is very artistic and creative, oils and watercolors through sculpture and modeling, which have provided strong support and encouragement for the development of my painting.
