Originally painted to coincide with the previous' Larger Than Life - Springer Spaniel,' this particular image has received a fantastic response and is formatted on either canvas or paper.

The intensity within each mark made is so great that you can almost feel the softness of the animal's fur as your eyes get lost within each strand of hair!

The glistening of the Lab's coat is what really appeals to me, and this is to be commended by Hemming as it takes great skill, patience and talent to create something as beautiful as this!

As a follow up to Black Lab I & Black lab II, Nigel has produced the eagerly awaited 'Larger Than Life - Black Labrador III' for his many fans and I for one am pleased he has!

Even the texture of the dog's hair has been captured superbly and one can also feel the wetness of the labrador's nose!

To make a change, Nigel decided to go with an oblong format on the print & box canvas, which makes an interesting divergence from the usual square nature of the series.

I feel this is a superb contemporary piece and the unique shape of the image, means you have more options as to which room in the house to hang this beautiful Gun Dog.
