It’s autumn time and an older black lab puts a paw on a leaf covered garden bench and thinks of their owner who is not there…

I like the additions Nigel paints into the background to set the scene: the ivy left to grow over the wall, the unused garden pots at the back and cobwebs in the window of the shed.

As usual the artist leaves it up to you to fill in the story on this image full of pathos.
