Constantly pushing his art, Horton tones down the colour and chooses to strip back the image with only a splash of red to represent the romantic gesture of passing a single flower from one lover to another.
You can notice the composition of the characters and how the male slumps his arms to the back of the bench eagerly awaiting a response from the lady.
