What is the heart of London? Artist Paul Kenton answers this question in the most recognisable way possible.
A quaint London red phone box, poised on a pavement and in the distances are the Houses Of Parliament & the iconic Big Ben (the historic clock tower), overlooking the phone box like a mother swan diligently looking over her cygnets.
With the other splashes of red cleverly positioned on the painting, the viewer can discern another red phone box in the background & on the roadside, some Red Routemaster buses have passed, on their everlasting daily journey, heading towards the Palace of Westminster.
The painting almost appears it has been hurriedly done on a sketchpad, scribbled away while out for as brisk walk in London, on a lazy afternoon.
On closer inspection one can ascertain that all the perspectives are accurate, the phone box, the Houses Of Parliament and the walls and roadside are immensely and deceptively detailed. Once again Paul Kenton is master of the London landscape.
