Paul's take on the iconic 'The Pink Panther,' the cartoon character that first appeared in the opening and closing credits of The Pink Panther films, famously associated with the late Peter Sellers in his films spanning 1963-1978.
The animated Cartoon character has become a popular cult figure and is strongly associated with Henry Mancini's theme from the Pink Panther films & even spawning his own cartoon shows, TV specials, comics and a plethora of merchandise over the years.
Online, the panther seems to have triple credits for his creation citing: Friz Freleng, Blake Edwards & Hawley Pratt.
Animation historian Jerry Back calls panther 'The last great Hollywood cartoon character' as he believes the Golden Era of animation finished in the 1960s, pretty much inline with the date of Pink's creation.
