Scooby-Doo is the longest running cartoon franchise in American animation history, having celebrated its 50th year in 2019 since Scooby aired on TV with the classic spooky series: 'Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!'

Sure, there have been other older American cartoons such as the Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry but none have matched the consistent Scooby output of: cartoons, live actions movies and feature length animation films!

What is the appeal of Scoobs and ‘those pesky kids?’ Perhaps it harks back to more innocent post war years in 50 & 60s America, as well as offering light hearted comedic (spooky!) adventures for the cowardly pooch and his friends: Shaggy, Fred, Daphne and Wilma – but don’t forget little cousin Scrappy-Doo!
