Twos Company by Peter Hildick

From the archives for 2014, we have available a limited amount of this very early Peter Hildick limited edition and in fact I believe it is the 4th released from Washing Green Art publishers. I wonder if the cheeky play on words here is that two Ostriches are 'Company' but three 'Is A Crowd' and one of these elegant creatures, seemingly is put out by the presence of a third. What do you think? As you can see from this very early stage in his published career, Peter displays a mastery of the pencil/graphite painting and his attention to detail of the birds is astonishing. Notice the subtle use of shading to show shadow on the bird necks? A must have limited edition print to complete your Peter Hildick collection.
