Peter's salute to the Mad Hatter and The Cheshire Cat from the books and no doubt they are getting ready for the 'Mad Hatter's Tea Party', a scene incidentally that has been recreated time and gain by artists, drawing to mind Kerry Darlington's best seller of the same name.
Here Peter has re-imagined the Mad Hatter as a scarecrow and notice he includes an Ace Of Hearts playing card, a floating cup of tea and a tea cake - something Peter is particularly passionate about painting!
Part of the 'Lost Alice' collection by Peter Smith. Celebrating the 150th year anniversary of the publication of Lewis Carroll's first book in the Alice In Wonderland series: 'Alice's Adventures In Wonderland' (1865)
