Peter was born in 1946 in Middlesex. On leaving school went directly to her first job as a junior for Hallmark Cards, where his innate artistic talent was recognized. He spent five years studying letters and designing its first artistic training, which gave him a solid foundation in color of conscience and formal structure.

Peter was born in 1946 in Middlesex. On leaving school went directly to her first job as a junior for Hallmark Cards, where his innate artistic talent was recognized. He spent five years studying letters and designing its first artistic training, which gave him a solid foundation in color of conscience and formal structure.
Peter then became director of art in a number of magazines, until he finally tired of the rat race and established himself as a freelance illustrator. Their years of experience has been very useful, covering, as they did, all aspects of design and illustration, cards and posters through portraiture and Limited Edition Prints.
Working independently gave Peter the opportunity to concentrate on his painting, and there has been a significant body of work inspired highly by Britain's waters, coves & ports. His compositions have a large-scale pictorial quality arising from the apparent strength of the brushstrokes and the impression of spontaneous creativity, which at once dramatic and enlightening.
During the past six years, Peter has exhibited regularly in a number of prestigious art venues including the Royal Society of Marine Artists, the Art Club of New England and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters of which he is an associate member.
