Rocky shorelines and mountainous cliffs seem to be one the main facets of Philip’s latest series: 'Philip Gray - The Fine Art Of Escapism - Collection.'
'Whispering Tides' is the largest of the set and blends sea and sky in a soothing colour palette of whites, blues and a just a hint of black.
As a couple walk on the beach, the artist asks you to ponder the magic of the natural world all around, its power, breadth and stoicism.
The scene is breathtaking, filled with a sea and clouded sky which are almost talking to one another. For me the finish touches is the unexpected green on top of the land mass and what appears to be a small lighthouse in the distance.
The lighthouse represents a beacon of hope in a lonely world, the artist reminding you that certain lights will never go out…should you be looking for them.
