'High & Dry - Sculpture' is the sister sculpture to 'Out Fishing - Sculpture,' a single boat that is docked on its based and is a tribute to the artistic mind of Rebecca Lardner.
Haha I just noticed the 'RL1' on the side of the ship and what an apt name. Nautical themes provide an endless source of inspiration for Rebecca and in that sense she mirrors the life of artist Duncan MacGregor.
I can imagine her fishermen characters coming in and out of their little ship but for the moment we need to satisfy ourselves with the fact the seagulls have been made into resin form and are on the boat; perhaps next time she will add tiny fishermen?
