Rule The Roost by Rebecca Lardner

One of two fantastic New Releases for Summer 2011, along with 'Dinner For Two.'

This wonderful piece that is brimming with character is by the fantastic artist, Rebecca Lardner.

Lardner's art works are most definitely distinctive, as they tend to portray the hustle and bustle of life along the English Coast & some see them specifically as caricatures of Cornwall.

This limited edition print is characteristic of her earlier artworks, yet at the same time is slightly different.

The perspective we get in 'Rule the Roost' is interesting like the rooster perched on the table of this seafront home, we are peering at this docking bay from a height, and more particularly a window; indicated by the green patterned curtains that frame the scene.

I wonder if this chicken has flown in from the owner's garden out of view?!
