Inspired by the portrait artist John Singer Sargent, Remi LaBarre pays homage to his love of jazz through his contemporary style of portraiture.
He often presents us with narratives set in the dark corners of bars and jazz clubs even though the settings aren't actually visible, adding to the overall atmosphere and poetry of his pieces.
