You can almost feel the angst of this woman, who waits impatiently, (from her body language), for her lover to arrive. Her arms are folded and it looks as though she is not best pleased at the thought of waiting for him.
The overall mood and tone of the piece is somewhat darker and subtle in its colours, this I think, strengthens the piece making I really stand out among this current collection of works.
On canvas, this looks fantastic and certainly makes for a unique and beautiful addition to the home.
