Simply stunning! - the crimson tones in the sky set the scene for the landscape in which these two central characters call home.

I love the simplicity of the piece yet it's so complex in its detail. For example draw your eye to the mother, how she sits and wraps her arms around her baby offering a source of comfort and motherly love.

The simplicity in gesture is also rather endearing, the way in which she looks down lovingly at her child, it's quite touching, wouldn't you say?

The background bursts with energy and colour so that they almost dance out of the image. Overall this is visually breath taking and a really good step forward for the artist in the collection.
