One of Sarah's lovely new releases from 2022, two figurative grey and red foxes dancing intensely to the Tango on top of a brick wall and illuminated by a street lamp!
Szikora give you a little insight into her zany world:
'In 1914 the Tango earned a Papal denunciation for being ‘damaging to the soul.’ Surely, it’s the exact opposite? Strutting, electrifying moves offer a visual thunderbolt between the dancers. What’s not to love?
I always paint first and think of a title when I’m finished; for this picture I looked up the Argentinian (Spanish) word for ‘fox’ and was thrilled to discover that word was… zorro'
I wonder if the title is deliberately misplead as ‘Baille’ with two ‘L’s, maybe there is some word play here that is over my head lol
Did you notice on the wall the green and pink neon words: 'Baile del Zorro' (correctly spelt!) and a love heart, literally translates from the Spanish as 'Dance of the Fox!'
