Pop Tarts by Sarah Jane Szikora

A very witty way to combine a play on words with food!

Instantly when I read the title of the work and then looked at the actual image itself it made me laugh and this is the incredible quality that allows Szikora to stand out among her contemporaries today.

The figures have been flattened as they have just popped out from the toaster, whilst the male, the onlooker, probably appreciates the view in front of him!

This is a really clever and unique idea from the artist and one which I think is a great stand out piece for the collection!
