The New 'Invitation To The Ballet - Collection' ❤️ for February and Sherree has always been inspired by dance & movement, as well as her love of the ballet. The artist has been painting the female form for decades and remains endlessly fascinated with the process & painting people live, in front of her easel.

The collection includes two painting of little girls taking what could be their first dance lessons!: 'Pretty As A Picture' & 'Pretty In Pink,' as well as more sophisticated and 'classic' Sherree pieces: 'The Pink Slipper' & 'Tranquil Beauty.'

Customers have commented recently, these two canvases are reminiscent of the older & popular limited editions 'Between Rehearsals' (2009) & even earlier 'In Repose - Picture' (pre 2008). Sherree's artwork has been cast into wonderful Bronze pieces for many years, making luxurious adornments to many homes & offices. Her Bronze Sculpture Collection now numbers over ten pieces & includes: ladies, children and of course horses & jockeys.

On 13th March 2020 we have the launch of Sherree's 'New Collection' Spring Releases, with three delightful images of children enjoying a British Summer: 'Chasing The Waves,' 'Beach Babies' & 'Sunkissed Memories' - impressionist limited edition images that manage to reflect on bygone, simpler days and yet are entirely modern & reminding us that our environment provides so many simple pleasures!

21st October 2019 sees the release of the exquisite limited edition print: 'Ascot Glamour,' showing the elegance and sophistication of British Horse Racing meets and the subtle blossoming (and renewal!) of romance that often take place. In fact, her paintings of Royal Ascot are what most of us would call a 'Sherree' painting, seen in countless gallery window's for well over fifteen years now.

Sherree's notable limited edition releases from 2019 where her Spring releases and Summer Collection of art, with the expected mix of elegantly dressed ladies at British social meets and children in various surroundings. The Spring releases where memorable for the best selling prints featuring children amongst flowers: 'Lost Amongst The Poppies,' 'Bluebell Haven' and 'Wildflower Meadow;' these really connected with people, capturing the very essence of childhood.

As the daughter of a sculptor and stonemason, perhaps it is no surprise that the artist chose an artistic path in life. Studying at the Epsom School of Art (now merged as the 'University for the Creative Arts') in Surrey, she honed her natural talents to ultimately become one of the UK’s most collectable contemporary artists and earning the title: 'the face of Modern British Impressionism.'

In fact, Daines's distinctive society scenes and timeless childhood imagery have attracted the attention of many celebrity collectors, including several members of the British Royal Family & Aristocracy.

As a painter, Sherree uses drawing as the foundation for her works and prefers to paint from real life, regularly using live models and over time that has included her own daughters, nieces and nephews.

Her landscapes and portraiture interpret the most elegant aspects of British Life e.g. the social Calendar such as Horse Racing at Ascot, portraits of elegantly clad women, nudes, musicians, ballet dancer and sporting pastimes such as English Rugby & Cricket. However, childhood imagery remains one of her favourite subjects.

She uses oil, watercolours and pastels on canvas to create works of all sizes, taking the most delight from conjuring up idyllic childhood settings. Sherree also works as a sculptor, carefully crafting each bronze piece in what she calls 'a labour of love.' The subjects include – of course – children, as well as the graceful, elegant female figures for which the artist is renowned, as well as horses and jockeys - bringing her figures from canvas to three-dimensional bronze life.
