This is the second of two new sculptures for November 2013 by the much loved artist Sherree Valentine Daines. In fact this is her first bronze since about the same time in 2008!
One of Sherree's favourite subjects is her artistic impression of children at play and happy & in Childhood Reverie we have a young girl standing on a rock and checking her fishing net, I think to check if they have caught any crabs!
Did you ever go to the seaside as a child and enjoy a spot of crab fishing? This sculpture is evocative of all those happy times one would hope to have in childhood and on holiday by the seaside.
