I feel visually this is almost a departure from Sherree's traditional style: a 'tighter' piece of art work, with more definitively stylised figures & objects.
The difference may also be, that in this scene, the limited edition artwork is not depicting movement per se, the couple are near enough stationary & that has somehow given the effect of a style change in the artist's painting technique.
The umbrella itself is an artistic marvel, the patterns are beautiful and it has a real weighty look to is, as though I want to reach in and hold it.
I also admired the solid red, blue & green colours of the rowing boat, juxtaposed against the soft subtle brush strokes and flecks of colour on the canvas board & in particular those that make up the foliage in the background.
I feel this latest Sherree Valentine Daines is an absolute treasure & a worthy edition to a limited edition art collection.
