Managing to capture that perfect moment in time or a specific gesture in the moment of action is something that the artist brilliantly manages to convey. In this case the two girls peer into their net to see what wonders they have caught on the pebbly beach.

Each stone or pebble painted has a new shade, tone or colour and there are many wonders to discover within the painting as there is the subject matter. I particularly favour the distance of the image where the artist create a fine line between where the ocean ends and the sky begins. Wearing their signature white dresses, Valentine Daines creates the light and airy floating of the garments to fall perfectly as the girls play near the sea, so as not to completely drench them from the current. This is an excellent Limited Edition which has been well thought out and brilliantly executed.
