The artist has now painted two memorable limited edition of Twiggy on canvas, worthy additions to the Simon Claridge - Diamond Dust Collection!
'Twiggy 2' features the model of the same name & while many know her as the recent face of the Marks & Spencer's TV ad campaign, in the 1960s she was one of the UK's top fashion models. In 1966 the Daily Express called her: 'The Face of 1966.'
Both artworks are simplistic & clean, her eyes bright and alert & in 'Twiggy II' I am particularly fascinated about how he creates the spritely looking top or jacket she has on - perhaps a fur effect of some deciption - as well as her hair and eyelashes.
If you look at the way, artistically, Simon Claridge has given her cheeks definition using various outlines, this is where the mastery of his talent lies.
