The falseness of glamour and temporal nature of fame is portrayed here in the artist's new social commentary that is the limited edition: 'Commotion.'
Keira Knightley's face is awash in garish background colours and seemingly merging with famous cartoon characters; McAlpine Miller's painting is a metaphor as to how celebrities are treated by the media.
The painting is graced by the lovable Scooby-Doo, biplanes, and an evil character grabbing 'Wilma' (perhaps representing the media) and is layered with various bright tones and colours.
There is so much that occupies our sight it is hard to know where to focus, although within moments we are drawn to the face of the celebrity.
