The magnificent artist Tom Butler turns his attention to a sunset & low tide in a scene overlooking the Thames and London's famous Battersea power station.
The Thames is of the course the backdrop but we have a much different vista to that of his last release featuring the great river, 'Bridging The Gap' (2023).
Lots to absorb and delight here on this beautiful golden hued canvas, and while the water surface shares some of these colours, Tom carefully adds white paint to capture the ethereal light reflection.
What do you first see? You may be drawn to the small boats anchored for the night, the bridges and the moorings in the scene.
Perhaps the skyline itself with cranes, tall buildings and the unmistakable four pillars of Battersea, reassuring you that you are on familiar ground, within the great City Of London.
