I spent five years at Blackpool and Fylde College of Art, studying first technical illustration, specializing in scientific illustration in order to become a medical illustrator. He worked for a medical publisher in the county of Surrey as an illustrator before returning north to pursue a career as a freelance illustrator wildlife finally to the signing of a London agency illustration.
Computer-based illustration and digital artwork are beginning to affect the role of illustrator of wildlife and the type of work available. It was then that prove a turning point in my career when, in 1997, I met with a number of international artists of wildlife at the same time exhibiting at the Fair British Falconry. This led to my painting pictures of wildlife, often working from my own photographs of reference, as well as the sketch of the materials purchased in the field, including travel to Kenya and the safari in Botswana.
Every artist needs a new challenge to incite excitement, so that after several years of painting traditional wildlife paintings I decided to experiment in a table cloth with more contemporary approach to my animals.
Signing with Washington Verde has allowed me to concentrate fully on my painting for giving me the opportunity to show my work to a wider audience.
