We are excited to announce Troika's latest limited edition release 'Trinity' new for Winter 2021. Along with exciting new originals, they display their breathtaking skill on the mediums of canvas and aluminium, with striking figurative imagery blended with urban contemporary art themes.
The collaborative efforts of the trio who make up the 'artist' continue to breathe new life into the contemporary art scene in the UK - 20th October 2021
This month sees their Debut Release limited edition canvases; called: 'Hypnotise' & 'Decadence,' these are a striking choice for their debut into the UK limited edition market - October 2019
'Troika' is not the pseudonym of one person but in fact the name of three artists working under the banner of this unique moniker.
Having worked together multiple times since 2003, the skill sets of these three individuals are able to create a breath taking blend of unique contemporary artwork and is underpinned by their collective enthusiasm for Pop culture, the media, film and music.
Troika's art falls under the relatively new sub-genre of 'Urban Figurative' and in essence it is a modern, multi-medium use approach to figurative art creation.
The trio have a number of links together, other than their style and the first is that they all hale from Liverpool and now reside and work in London.
The second is their strong commitment to supporting charity work and they have collaborated with, amongst others: Aids Charities, Hillsborough Families, Hodgkin's Lymphoma organisation and art schemes for underprivileged youngsters.
Interesting, even their studio has a unique name 'the bunker' and in this feel good place they work their collective magic - each will have their hand on every artwork they produce.
They start by digitally creating patterns and templates online. Next, they use paint and mixed media on the canvas including: acrylics, oils and spray paint - almost a rite of passage for today's modern artist - and add multiple layers to the work with their stencils. An additional last step will often be the painting of a figure, often loan, on the image as its central focal point.
Troika have a long list of achievements, exhibitions and projects, including the 'Troika Persistent Illusions' exhibition in Korea (2014). You can find out about or take a look on their Instagram. We are excited to see how they collaborate with Demontfort Fine Art publishers and UK high street galleries.
